A few weeks ago I received an email from a contact I have at Disney. They asked if I would be interested in creating a 3D model of the new planned addition to Sleeping Beauty Castle at Hong Kong Disneyland.
On the heals of the recent D23 Expo in Anaheim where they displayed a scale model of the castle transformation, I was just as excited for this opportunity as I was when I first saw the concept art for the castle a few years ago.
The job was eventually given to in-house 3D modelers, but I decided that wasn’t going to stop me from creating it myself, much like I have with the other park castles.
