Ahh…the Jungle Cruise. For some weird reason I remember this ride more than any other from my childhood. Maybe it’s because we always started with Adventureland when we entered the park, and besides the Swiss Family Treehouse, the Jungle Cruise was the only attraction in that area during the 80s.
Some of you may remember that Disneyland’s Jungle Cruise queue building used to be a much more simple structure. It was that way for almost 40 years! It is now such a beautifully complex and well designed asset to the attraction that I thoroughly enjoy standing in line. It gives me time to admire all of the fine details and ponder exactly how the queue snakes back and forth, upstairs and down.
